Why Might It Be Recommended?
A root canal may be recommended when the inside of a tooth becomes inflamed or infected because of deep decay, cracks, trauma, or other damage.
What Should I Expect?
The infected or inflamed tissue is removed, the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed, and the tooth is later restored as needed to protect it.
