Dr. Carl Reitz, DDS
Education:
BS: University of Northern Iowa DDS: University of Iowa
Personal: My interest in dentistry began early in my high school years while shadowing a dentist in my hometown of Denison, Iowa. I admired the personal connections he would develop with his patients and saw dentistry as a highly rewarding profession that was worth working toward. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar in 2015, and, in 2019, I graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. I decided to continue my educational training by completing a General Dentistry Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in downtown Minneapolis. The residency granted me the opportunity to provide dental care to the most underrepresented populations in the state while continuing to advance my clinical training and knowledge. Through these opportunities, I began to appreciate the importance of oral health and the lack of care for many individuals.
Gentle Dentistry provided the opportunity to continue to serve vulnerable populations while delivering quality dental care. I view dentistry and oral health care as the gateway to overall health and strive to improve each patient’s understanding of oral health. I also value each of the unique relationships I build with patients and work hard to deliver high-quality care with each visit.
In my free time, you will likely find me gardening. I spend most of my summer months tending to my vegetable garden and my winter months enjoying the canned goods of salsa, pickles, and applesauce that my garden and apple trees helped produce. I am also an avid volleyball and Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. I welcome any invitation to a game of volleyball and will likely be sporting a Huskers t-shirt while doing so.
Kylie Anderson, DT/RDH
Dual licensed dental hygienist and dental therapist
Education:
B.S. Dental Hygiene – University of Minnesota (2019) M.S. Dental Therapy – University of Minnesota (2020)
Personal: Kylie strives to provide a comfortable dental care experience and form trusting relationships with her patients. Kylie’s favorite thing about being a dental professional is that she truly believes that she can make a difference in people’s lives. The fact that she can get someone to smile and feel more confident in themselves is one of the greatest rewards.
When Kylie isn’t at the dental office, she enjoys exercising, going for day hikes and exploring outdoors, cuddling with her orange cat, Jackson, at home in Maple Grove, and spending quality time with friends and family at local tap rooms around the cities. She was a figure skater and dancer for 10 years, and basically lived at the many ice arenas around the cities growing up. You could say she’s pretty used to these harsh MN winters!
